Hermosa Beach is a city of wonders! The atmosphere, the people, and the community is everything I have ever wanted in a place to live. The local businesses, and culture bring people from all over the country. The experiences I have made while living in Hermosa Beach will be memories I will forever cherish!

Getting more and more expensive every year, (2018 Expect 5k+/month for a decent place) it's a spillover from Manhattan Beach where people that cannot find a place to live there, come here and pay the same amount of money for half the quality place. It's also a squeeze, houses next to each other, etc. The atmosphere is better than in MB, people are more chill. Beach is great if you're into it (surf, volleyball, taking selfies) Yes, there is a bit of nightlife and some restaurant (very few good ones). Too many tourists on the weekends. Terrible parking (weekends). The job market is bad. It is a healthy living through, but where is it not in California.
Hermosa Beach is a beautiful small town with a rich history in visual and performing arts and a great, close-knit aesthetic. The single-square mile area is a great contrast in attitudes to the surrounding cities, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach, by representing a generally relaxed, easy-going beach lifestyle as historically associated with the South Bay.
