Henrietta Township Reviews
Rating 4 out of 5 4 reviews
Overall, a very nice area. Very rural, as are the nearby townships of Waterloo and Stockbridge. There are a few small businesses, lots of farms, good churches (I recommend Jeruel Baptist), and it's generally a nice, quiet place to live. The majority of the residents of the area (the three townships) are descendants (by blood or by marriage) of the original Kentucky families who moved here a long time ago for work at the local farm economy, a big enough business at the time to merit a branch line of the Lima & Detroit railroad. It's very quiet now though. I am a descendent of those original Kentucky families and a good chunk of the people in the region are distant (or not so distant) cousins of mine. There is no police force in the township, or in Waterloo, so we have to rely on the County Sheriff and State Police. The Sheriff's Office is pretty good about keeping a deputy on patrol out here in the boonies, just in case. The people around here are pretty conservative too. Nice library!
Henrietta Township is an amazing place to live. The community may look run down, however, the people are very friendly. There is a Dollar General in town, along with multiple amazing restaurants, such as Big Chucks, an amazing Pizza joint, and the Munith Cafe, an amazing breakfast stop. There are also plenty of local business, such as Brewster's Towing, and Gee Farms, a plant nursery. Henrietta is the small town that's movie perfect
I've lived here for over a year now and I love it. The community is great to be around and very helpful, the air is cleaner, and the crime is lower.
