The thing that I like about growing up in Henderson is the type of community it is family friendly wise because we could all hang out together and it wouldn't be a problem. One thing I would like to change about Henderson is the crime level rates because there is something always going with a shooting and someone being dead. If you don't hear gun shots, police cars, or an ambulance then it isn't a normal day in Henderson because something like that happens everyday.

I like Henderson because of how small it is, and how easy it is to commute from one place to another within the city. The public schools, in my experience, were fine, but the curriculum wasn't ever challenging or advanced like other nearby counties, and my middle school received bomb threats once per year while I was there. It was never a surprise to anyone when people were shot and killed behind my middle school or at gas stations (at night). The close-knit communities within Henderson are amazing, but I just wish it was safer, more unified, and that the crime rate could decrease so that I would feel comfortable staying where I grew up. Currently, I have plans to move out of Henderson once I graduate, and it upsets me a little.
I would like to see more people think before they do something. A lot of people here do not think. They will do something and not think about the consequences. It would be nice if people would forgive and love one another. I think lack of forgiveness and love is why there is a lot of harm and problems. People hold grudges against other when they should be forgiving them. They are holding on to the past which make the individual (grudge holder) angry. The town would be a lot better if everyone could come together as one. People would not have to worry about a lot of issues.
