A very quaint and lovely town! especially kid-friendly and close-knit community. I live right outside of town but walking distance to, and i feel very safe any time of day or night that i decide to take in the neighboring scenery.

Henderson is a safe place to live and work. There are also very friendly, helpful and inspiring people there. Also, there are several, great local dining establishments.
Henderson is a small town with roughly 6,000 citizens. It's nestled between Jackson, TN and Selmer, TN. The main attraction in this quaint location is Freed Hardeman University, a 4 year private college with an average of 1,900 students. Being raised in Henderson, i have developed a love/hate relationship with this city. While I love the small town feel of knowing everyone, that is also the downfall of a town this size. Henderson has been a safe haven for me, but I do not plan to settle down in this town for my entire life. I give the city 4 stars because while it definitely has its flawed, henderson has given me great memories and friendships that I am happy to live with forever.
