Henagar is a small town in Northeast Alabama with around 2600 people in it. The community is very close nit and very friendly. There is a K-8 grade feeder school that allows the students smaller class rooms for more one on one education. After you have been in the town a while it isn't uncommon for you to be greeted by your name. This is a good thing, especially if something happens to you or one of your family members. Someone knows how to get in touch with you sometimes before the law has a chance to do so.

I've lived in Henagar since 2011.I like my town and those who live here.I had been living in Rainsville, Alabama for awhile until the tragic tornados ripped through the area as well as the surrounding areas.April 27,2011 will be a date in history that I will never forget. It destroyed my home,my vehicle and all that I and my little boy had,and that's how I ended up in Henagar,Alabama. This is a quiet little town, full of familar faces that I see often, always with smiles to make your day a little less stressful. The only thing that I would change about this town is I would love to see a bigger library,so more people would wanna use it more, for the resource it offers.
Overall quality of life here is average.
