Helena is a small suburban town outside of Birmingham, AL. It hosts a diversified group of families. One of the great things about Helena is the little town of Helena. It is a great gathering place for families and friends alike to come and enjoy food, festivities and local Mom and Pop shops. People just love the small town feel and the family atmosphere. It is a little off the beaten path but well worth the drive. It could use some better alternatives for night life though. The town shuts down after dark.
I have absolutely loved living in Helena. It's such a great place. Friendly neighbors, quiet and safe. Everything is relatively close by!
when I think of Helena, I think of the word community. We're just a southern, middle class, small town, and everybody knows everybody. We are expanding rapidly, but we all come together and love each other and our community so much. Helena was voted top 5 safest cities to live in the country, and I'm so blessed to have grown up in such a wholesome environment. The only thing I would change would be the traffic, its absolutely ridiculous. Since we are expanding our neighborhoods, we need to expand our roads to accommodate . Our school is the same way, we need to expand our facilities to fit the entire student body. Besides the size, our schools are one of the best in the state. with high quality staff that genuinely cares about you and will do whatever it takes to help you succeed. I've made lasting relationships in this town that I know I will never loose no matter how far I go.
