I like the diversity of this town. It has brought culture into this town that it would have lacked otherwise. It has brought so much life here, and most of the citizens seem to be blind to the fact. The town has a high poverty rate, but the large wave of immigration we've received over several decades help create more businesses which result in more jobs. It is disheartening to see the citizens who have lived here for generations be cruel and disrespectful to those who search for a better life in this town. This town has helped shaped me into the woman I am today. The people I have grown up with helped me grow whether it was positive or negative, but you need to learn in all forms in order to shape yourself.

I have lived in the town of Hazleton for my entire life and I would not change one single thing. It has given me a lifetime of opprtunity, new friendships, wonderful food and atmosphere, and an overall satisfaction. I would not want to live anywhere else- this diverse town has opened my eyes to new and exciting cultures. I am proud of my upbringing!
Our town of Hazleton has gotten a little more populated over the past 30 years, but that doesn't mean I desire it any less! I love the warm, humble, and small town feel of a coal mining town that isn't so small anymore. There are so much nightlife and newer upscale restaurants moving into the city which is helping the job market. Plus, it's has a great commute to NYC, Philly, and Scranton/Wilkes Barre.
