While living in Hazel Crest, I rarely see any festivals or community service being advertised here. The only festival, that is somewhat common here is the firework show but, even that isn’t guaranteed to happen every year. I would like for the community to advertise and promote more activities and events for the residents to participate in. The only thing I can say that’s worth doing here, is holding picnics and family reunions at the park district during the summer. It’s spacious and overall has a pleasant scenery of green fields. It’s incredibly relaxing to walked the trails every now and then to witness the nature.

Very quiet neighborhoods, pretty good schools for both elementary and high school although the academics could improve a bit. Community very friendly!
The community of Hazel Crest is a great, hard working, and loving environment. The town is slowly growing and improving everyday. The other cities surrounding Hazel Crest are also great cities, and they all compliment each other. There's not much that happens in Hazel Crest crime wise. They have many fun events throughout the year for kids, families, or just adults who want to have fun. There many elementary schools and daycares in the town so there are about a decent amount of children around, but they don't make any chaos. There are many stores, and restaurants around so you'd have a variety of choices. There is always little to no traffic. Overall the community is great, and a nice place to live
