Hawthorne is a cool place if you're just starting out! After a few years you will want better and decide to leave this place. When you feel that urge do it! If you don't you will no longer grow here and be miserable. Most neighborhoods are okay. Some are more friendly than others. If you have kids it's best to get a house, move close to the park, or live in a building that has a playground in it or your children will miss out on their childhood. Transportation is okay here. The commute is smooth for the most part unless there's construction down Prairie lol.

I've lived in Hawthorne for approximately 7 years. Throughout that trajectory, it has gone through many changes. For instance, it has gotten cleaner and safer. The Hawthorne police are very friendly and on top of whatever crime is going on. Nevertheless, there is reckless driving around this area. I would not recommend walking alone at night here because that when crazy people come out. Hawthorne has gotten better but it still suffers from a few problems.
Hawthorne, California is the perfect location for those looking for opportunities all around. The location is nearby to many education systems such as the Wiseburn School District, Hawthorne High, Ramona, etc. There are plenty of Aerospace corporations around Hawthorne such as SpaceX, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, etc. Along the streets of Hawthorne there are many automobile shops as well. Overall, Hawthorne offers many opportunities to those looking into a place with quality education options and Aerospace and automobile careers.
