Havre Reviews

Havre is a very small town and it takes a long while to get anywhere else of substance but overall the community is welcoming. While the public school system offers a lot of different opportunities for students. Opposite to this, I wish there were programs for young children who can't get jobs in the summer as there is relatively none currently. Along with that, the economy hasn't changed significantly for along time. Overall it is a good small town for it's size but without growth, it won't last much longer.
This is a great small town. I have loved raising my children here; it feels safer than other places. There are quite a few clubs, organizations, and social activities if a person wants to be active in the community. Everyone is very friendly, but not “too nosy” or in your business. Again, it’s a great place to live!
Sure, this is a small town. Sure, there are problems like ANY PLACE ELSE YOU WILL GO, but we have it far better off than a lot of towns do! There are at least places to shop, safe areas, cheap rent, job possibilities all of the time. I see so many complaints about the police-shut up already! It's not the police that are the problem, it's the drugs that run rampant along the hi-line! People for the most part are friendly. The community bans together a lot! I know all of my neighbors! I can afford to live comfortably even with a low paying job. I have the freedom to access the best parts of Montana with a short drive. I hear so many people say that Havre is a pit you'll never escape..well, maybe it's because it's EASY TO LIVE HERE AND MAKE IT and if a small town just isn't doin' for ya...well, go then. I challenge you to find anywhere else in Montana that offers what Havre does at it's prices and salaries, lemme know when you find that town.
