Working in Hauppauge
Friendly community, centrally located on Long Island with affordable real estate, very low taxes for Long Island, low crime and good, small school district.
I liked the schools, the teachers and staff were good. Great extra curricular activities and programs offered during and after school and would like to see more community events put together.
I've been living here for about 2 years now. Stores close fairly early around here and there are many out-of-business commercial buildings that could be used more efficiently. Commute to New York City takes about 1 hour without traffic.
