What like about Hattisberg is that there is a lot to do as far as activities, shopping, restaurants and schools to choose from. Living in a small town I like spending time in Hattisberg on the weekends. The city of Hattisberg seems to be an upcoming town with a lot of diverse group of people and it is rich in southern culture. The university of southern Mississippi campus I feel will bring great education opportunities for me.. when I went to visit this past summerthe staff made us feel so welcome with so many activities to do. I would love to be considered for this scholorship. THANK YOU!

From living in this growing city my whole life, I know that Hattiesburg is a very special place. There are numerous restaurants, well priced, that offers all kinds of cuisines. Several events take place throughout the week such as festivals, sporting events, fundraisers, burlesque shows, opera, wine tastings, and much more. Since it's a University Town, home of Southern Miss, the night life has much to offer. The residents of Hattiesburg are kind, well mannered Southern folks. I love this city!
Being that I am a former resident of Hattiesburg, I truly believe it has many things to offer, such as educational and career opportunities. I'd give this community a solid 4 stars because no place is perfect, can be extremely hot and the closest beach is about two hours away! Other than that, i would recommend residency in Hattiesburg. Hattiesburg is also known for having tight authority, therefore safety is rarely ever an issue.
