Hattiesburg Reviews
Rating 3.85 out of 5 233 reviews
Hattiesburg is one of the most unique towns in Mississippi. Many of its buildings are covered in art, and there are small hidden gems throughout the city such as the Pocket Museum and the Lucky Rabbit in the downtown area. It’s called Hub City for a reason; different people from all over Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana come and go. With it being home to two university campuses, it’s not hard to meet people and make new friends. Housing, gas, and grocery prices are fairly reasonable, and many of the jobs pay fair wages that start above ten dollars an hour. Since moving to Hattiesburg, I have been exposed to new experiences that have changed my life, and I haven’t even explored half the city yet!
I have a deep appreciation for the city of Hattiesburg and its warm-hearted residents. The welcoming atmosphere and genuine kindness that I've encountered within this community have left a lasting impression on me. From the friendly interactions in local establishments to the sense of unity during community events, I've truly felt a connection with the people of Hattiesburg. This city has become more than just a location; it's a place where I've felt embraced and valued. The vibrant culture, rich history, and diverse opportunities have made my time in Hattiesburg incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the chance to be a part of such a wonderful community and look forward to continuing to contribute positively to its tapestry.
I've grown up in Hattiesburg all my life and it has shaped the person I am today. Many can not say the same about their town and it is a subject I am proud to talk about. Over time Hattiesburg has been taken over with the hustle and bustle of the city but has adapted quicker than anyone expected. The community in Hattiesburg isn't like any other city I've visited. The way we are able to come together whether that is to celebrate a big game or to mourn a loss we do it as a community. Being a college town is also something that has shaped me into who I am. Although that may sound odd, Hattiesburg shows a lot of hospitality to visitors, and that has shown me the kind of person I want to be when welcoming someone new into any aspect of my life. A few changes that could make Hattiesburg a better city is a cleaner city. Lots of trash is left on the roads, a lot of weeds have grown up and make our city look not well kept. However, this is an easy fix that we could come together and clean up.
