I grew up a few towns over from Hartford. Married my high school sweetheart. Right out of high school, he joined the Air Force and took me with him. We were gone for 23 years but always knew we were going to move back "home". Hartford is the busier towns in the county. It would be nice to have more businesses come in but you have a nice selection of banks, churches and dining here. You can live out in the country where it's wide open or if you like living in town, there's a great selection of housing there too. Hartford is a great place to live.

The overall environment of Hartford, Kentucky is overall friendly and welcoming. The inhabitants are cordial, and mannered and for the most part makes me feel safe. On the other hand, drug use is a fairly large problem in this town. Of course, it is not the authorities’ fault, but it would be nice to see them take the extra step to control and potentially stop this arising issue.
Great small town community! Needs more diverse activities for young people. L however, short drive time to area entertainment and venues.
