I love this rural town. It gives me a "like-home" vibe. It's mainly farm land with with a lot of hard-working people. Everybody knows everybody. I love the family owned restaurants and that families are still able to have their small businesses. There are a lot of talented people in Harrodsburg. I would love for there to be more entertainment for the younger generations, though. There is an aquatic center at the community park for summer activities. There just isn't much to do in the winter months. I would love to see a movie theater or a bowling alley come to Harrodsburg. I would also like to see more business come back to Beamount Plaza. When I was young, there wasn't a vacant spot in that shopping center. It's the heart of Harrodsburg to me. It is heartbreaking to see it so empty. I'm glad Ephraim McDowell purchased the YMCA and is currently remodeling the building. That was a much needed improvement.

I like the overall small community in Harrodsburg, KY. I grew up there and liked the friendly environment. It is also the first settlement in Kentucky. It's a history making town with plenty room to grow. There are a variety of activities provided on a weekly basis. The community has lots of locally owned small businesses in my town. The history behind the town also provides visitors with local and national history. Old Fort Harrod draws people to came and see the fort and gain knowledge of the history. I think anyone who comes to Harrodsburg for a visit will be impressed.
I love where I live! We live in a Habitat For Humanity home and I love everything about it. The neighbors are lovely, the family I have that lives down the street is great, and it's just over all an amazing place to live. I would definitely live here if it was just me on my own. In the future I see this neighborhood being an awesome, awesome place to live! They are currently building onto our neighborhood, so I think it's going to be an amazing thing to see.
