Harrisonville is pretty average for a small town. It's full of a lot of hicks, along with white, conservative males. There isn't much to do, which probably is the reason for the drug problem among the youth. The library and the community center are pretty nice. The square is really cute and there is some cool history around town.

Harrisonville residents are a very close knit community; however, there due tend to be cliques formed by different groups, parents, and students. This can sometimes lead to the development of run down neighborhoods and bully or exclusion of others.
Needs more activities and restaurants besides fast food. The only place to go for an activity is to the movie theater. There are no other places for children to go such as a bowling alley or a skating rink, etc. Otherwise the town itself has that hometown feel to it. I know lots of people that have been "born and raised" there. I grew up in the next town over and currently live in a town south of there. It's where I need to go if I need to do shopping or dine out. But choices are limited and have been since I was a kid. There are few "shopping" choices.
The school is very sport oriented. This is kind of what makes or breaks children who attend there.
