Needs more activities and restaurants besides fast food. The only place to go for an activity is to the movie theater. There are no other places for children to go such as a bowling alley or a skating rink, etc. Otherwise the town itself has that hometown feel to it. I know lots of people that have been "born and raised" there. I grew up in the next town over and currently live in a town south of there. It's where I need to go if I need to do shopping or dine out. But choices are limited and have been since I was a kid. There are few "shopping" choices.
The school is very sport oriented. This is kind of what makes or breaks children who attend there.

GREAT SMALL TOWN VIBE, with big town amenities. Harrisonville is constantly trying to improve infrastructure and community areas, from the historic square and burnt district, to the city pool and water park, and the wonderful newish Price Chopper shopping area Harrisonville has something for everyone of every age.
Being raised in Harrisonville was great. There are 3 parks, good schools, and a very supportive community. With many people moving south from the city we have seen a jump in crime however and that is very disappointing.
