Great community that is constantly growing! I have lived here for 8 1/2 years now and I do not see myself living anywhere else. The community is very close, since the town is so small, and it is very safe too. I think Harrisburg is a great town to live in to raise a family, especially with the wonderful schools in the district. The small businesses in Harrisburg are awesome too!
Our family loves Harrisburg, SD. It is a growing community with many young families. The school district is wonderful and the number of businesses is increasing. We have lived here for almost 10 years and have no plan to leave. We are excited to see what the future holds for Harrisburg!
Harrisburg is not a very nice town. The houses are cheaply built and don't look very nice. There isn't really much in the town. A grocery store is being built, so hopefully that will help to make the town better. The high school, middle school, and Freedom Elementary are fairly new. The high school is very nice and has great facilities. Liberty Elementary is old and gross. The biggest downfall of the town is that some days it smells like crap because there are ponds in town that hold the sewage.
