The state fair is in Harrington, Delaware! This state fair is huge even though it is such a small state. From the rides to the food, you will be entertained. They always have great performers and a demolition derby along with livestock shows. They have a small selection for shopping in their few outlets but the river Nanticoke river is close for a summer time float. Harrington will definitely keep you entertained no matter what age group and is only growing bigger!

Great rural town close to Dover Delaware. Harrington Delaware has the state fairgrounds which also encompass a Dover Downs Casino. It has great food/buffet within the Casino along with bands, concerts, horse racing, and much more. There is also an Ice arena with hockey and figure skating to include a pro-shop at the Center Ice Rink. If you like the rural farm life, close to some fabulous beaches with great programs close by for soccer, baseball, and multiple other sports which also has some great outdoor amenities like Killen's Pond State park to include camping, water activities, hiking, and a water park then Harrington Delaware is for you!
I liked the size of Harrington, everything was so close together, so I didn't have to drain my gas tank every time I had to run errands. But, the people were horrible, at least where I lived. My landlord didn't care as long as she was getting money. She started to let drug dealers start to live their. My childhood neighborhood started transitioning into a crummy refuge for horrible people, so much so that all of us moved out, now it's just run down filled with temporary renters.
