I have lived safely and comfortably in Harper Woods all of my life. As for feedback, I think that the education system is a bit limited when it comes to a variety of options. Families only have one choice of an elementary school, middle school, and high school to send their children to. This was troubling for me personally because when I wanted to leave the Harper Woods School District, I had to enroll in a private school because there were no other public schools I had access to. On that note, although the Harper Woods School District has excellent teachers, the aggressive student body interferes negatively with the educational atmosphere. Overall, Harper Woods has a rather unfortunate reputation in the neighboring communities, but it is certainly a respectable place to live and I have generally enjoyed my experience.

My experience in Harper Woods has been very good. They have a good public school system along with an excellent public service works (police/fire/roads). Harper Woods is a suburb of Detroit, MI surrounded by the Grosse Pointe Communities along with St. Clair Shores. Great night life with a variety of restaurants and bars for entertainment.
I live in a neighborhood where a lot of young children reside. Some are obedient, and most are loud and disrespectful. I love a quiet neighborhood, but in certain areas of the block? You hear gun shots, certain neighbors fighting, drag racing, dogs barking all night, etc..
