Harlowton Reviews
Rating 3 out of 5 2 reviews
Small friendly town. Has vital business including a grocery store, hospital, hardware and auto parts store as well a a thrift store. Beautiful surroundings. Good location. Highways going in and out of town make it easy to travel to nearby towns.
As a "railroad" town, you can imagine what happened after the railroad pulled out. Harlowton died. As a paraplegic who has lived here almost my whole life, it is terrible for accessibility. No curb cuts. Very few ramps. The county courthouse only put a ramp in after I was left on the third floor for eight hours. I had to be carried down by night janitors. Not a very sensitive town towards the challenged. No matter the issue. Not venting . My family has lived here forever. Just telling ya like it is. No industry, schools are terrible, drugs are out of control. The place has no pride anymore. I would like to see people occupy positions of power in this town, who actually cared about the upcoming generation.
