Working in Hanford
I have lived in Hanford for over 40 years. My beautiful wife and I have raised four wonderful children; two boys and two girls, now adults, but went to Hanford school. Since the coronavirus's devastation, Hanford has developed a different set of social norms like other cities. For example, restaurants have outside dining to prevent the spread of the virus, but some well-known restaurants in our city have gone out of business because of COVID-19. Yet, I am still optimistic about Hanford's future; we are resilient in this pandemic environment. And for mental health reasons, communication is essential to the sanity of our citizens. In short, Hanford is a pleasant place to visit and settle down, but if I had to change something about Hanford, I would add more mental health workers because there is a deficiency in our community. I hope to change that one day, for I will go to college to pursue a career and a passion/desire. I want to be a clinical psychologist.
A quiet town. There's really not much to be said about it other than it's an expanding town heavily effected by agricultural influences. If you're looking for a break from the city, definitely stop here and make sure you stop by Superior Dairy Ice Cream in the downtown area!
Hanford is a quite little town in California. It has a nice farming community with friendly people. Hanford is about 2 hours from the beautiful beaches of California. The only negative to living here is the six to eight months of ridiculously hot and dry weather. The "fall" temperatures typically do not start until closer to the beginning of November. If you like small towns this is a nice place to be but if you like having seasons I would consider other places. There is not a lot of night life but Fresno is only a 45 minuet drive away. As far as affordability it is good for California.
