I love that Hampden has a small-town feel, but with plenty of local options for dining and activities. The proximity to Bangor and the University of Maine means there are always events nearby. My neighborhood feels safe and friendly!
Very nice area! Good schools; very safe. Only problem is that it is not very diverse...makes it slightly difficult to be a minority in this area. The whole state of Maine is somewhat like that, though
This is the perfect Maine town. I have always felt safe here. The people are so kind, the town is clean, and the sense of community is just beautiful. An absolutely wonderful town to raise a family in!
