Very nice town! Overall Hammonton has good public schools, safety, diversity, family friendly, and night life. Downtown Hammonton has variety of shops and dinning. Throughout the seasons Hammonton holds various festivals, that brings the entire community together. Hammonton is a great town that is recommended to everyone. And might i mention it is nicknamed Little Italy and the blueberry capital of the world.
Certainly a town for families of all ages. There's usually something to do in town, and if not, shopping malls aren't too far away. It's a small enough town that you often cross paths with familiar faces, but big enough to not know everyone. Its schools could use serious improvement!
Hammonton is town that prides itself on being local. There are not many chain stores here besides the usual Shoprite, Walmart, and a few fast food joints. We emphasis on shopping local at mom and pop restaurants, Italian food markets, and downtown stores. There are a lot of community events. One thing that I would change is the ability to swim at the local lake. The Hammonton Lake Park is a beautiful park with small walking trails, a playground, baseball fields, and a lake. I would enjoy being able to take my dog swimming on a hot summer day. This is the only thing that I would change about Hammonton.
