Hamilton is a quaint little mountain town with a slightly upscale feel to it as well. There is plenty of outdoors activities to participate in, including kayaking, fishing, hiking, camping, swimming, hunting, and going for long windy mountain road drives. The town has a diverse offering of restaurants with minimal chains so there is always something different in store.

I've lived and worked in Hamilton for about 5 years now. I love how close outdoor recreation is. There are many beautiful trails within 30 min. of town. Downsides, this is a smaller, older-aged community, so shops tend to close earlier than expected, and town is mostly closed on Sundays. Not something one would have a problem with in more populated areas.
Hamilton is situated in the Bitterroot Valley. You have the Bitterroot Mountains to the West and the Saphire Mountains to the East. The area is chock full of outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, hunting, camping, skiing, snowmobiling and more.
