Everyone is friendly, there's no litter nor trash everywhere, and we're a dog community. Haledon doesn't have a park, but there's grocery stores like ShopRite and Walgreen's nearby. There's a hardware store, car wash, yogurt shop, Wendy's, etc. North Haledon is too fancy and Paterson is okay, but Haledon is where the hills are! No crime happening here, just in New York or outside Passaic County.

The streets are plagued with signs that tells you that you can only park for one hour. If you fail to abide by these rules, you either will get a ticket or your car tolled.

Secondly, Paterson people are moving into Haledon. Themajority coming in are uneducated, messy individuals who are turning Haledon into a cesspool. Some of these individuals have no home training and their children are causing fights and mayhem in school. Also, their children are contributing to the increasing amount of teen pregnancy.

In addition, drug addicts "white collar" neighborhoods such as North Haledon actually come down to Haledon to buy drugs. Sometimes you can find the syringes on the streets. Its pretty sad and most of these individuals drive down on Belmont with their big fancy Range Rover which police officers never think twice to check them because they are privilege.
My experience as a resident in my little home town of Haledon is that I love it! The small town makes it so that you know your neighbors and everyone is really friendly with each other.
