Hale Township Reviews
This small rural area near to the city of Hot Springs is in the same county, but lacks necessary services. For instance, some of the roads are dirt/gravel. There is a very dangerous, slippery, and very steep hill at the intersection of a fast-moving highway. Getting around the area after dark is risky. Businesses lack appropriate funds and loans to compete with bigger stores in town. A monopolizing race track/casino gets all attention in the county from politicians. As a result, smaller businesses are placed in the background. Traffic is un-managed in the nearby town, so local Bonnerdale people dread driving to leisure destinations there. Local restaurant owners are even harassed. For instance, one ambitious entrepreneur built a large restaurant in this area, but was cited for allowing people to "dance" on New Years Eve, with music. No kidding! Soon, he shut down.
All of the restaurants are concentrated in the closest town of Hot Springs (a 30 minute drive). On the way, into this city, there are few local opportunities to stop and eat. Furthermore, there is a serious problem with fast food restaurants staying open late. There is a lack of alternative dish availability. Ethnic, vegan, or interesting foods are not seen. Only traditional and fast food restaurants are prominent. Quality nightlife is non-existent.
I love it here! There is always something to do and It's never boring here. I've lived here for years and I have no complaints. I think the future will get better here if all goes the same.
