Gulfport is a fairly large city with steady growth. At around 73,000 people the city is the second biggest city in Mississippi. Gulfport is 99% urban and 1% rural, however the city is very large in size and you will see parts that are filled with nature and parts that are more city life, as well as parts that feel like you are in a small town. If you are young and like the city life, downtown Gulfport is your best bet. Decent downtown area and a few skyrise buildings, as well as fishbone avenue. There you can find bars and restaraunts. There is also a casino downtown (island view). There are quite a few attractions such as an aquarium and water parks and of course the beach! Beaches are nice and is usually safe for swimming. Water is not clear but ship island has the clearest best beach in Mississippi. There is a lot of history here and lots of museums. Crime is pretty high in some areas but most of gulfport is relatively safe. Definately a steady growing beach city with lots of life.

Gulfport, Ms is a great city to live in, the community is nice and you don’t have to worry about being involved in any conflicts with others that you my see. It’s nice. I enjoy the nice views- the shopping malls, the large variety of banks and also the different types of restaurants; soul food, Mexican, organic and sports bar. With me having a child/children have lots of places to chose from if it my be with there parents or just friends too go and hand out, like the movie theater, trampoline parks- racetrack and many more places in the surrounding areas on the coast anywhere from Biloxi, Long Beach , Ocean Springs, and many more. The Casinos have high price seafood bars and a new selection of table games to slot machines! Check- Out theses location and you want regret the time you’ve spend.
Gulfport have great beaches. Gulfport needs new businesses to enter its town because there are to many casinos. This limits the tourist to come here and enjoy Gulfport. Gulfport do not have a commuter train that could bring people into Gulfport from other cities. This is one of the reason that limits tourism in Gulfport. This year is very terrible because of the Covin 19 virus which causes Gulfport to be apart of the mask mandated for restaurants, amusement parks, casinos. It no fun wearing a mask and trying to enjoy my self.
