I feel like Grovetown is a good and safe suburban town besides the fact that there is lots of racial tension. The city is in north Georgia and though it may not be the most stereotypical southern place, there's lots of racism going around. Many people here are Trump supporters and live a lot of there lives in his political footstep so they're very racist towards people of any kind of Hispanic descent. Besides the people, the city itself is pretty bland and has only a handful of decent things to do. The downtown scene is pretty decent but there aren't very many impromptu things to get into.
Grovetown is a not a great place to live relative to Evans in Columbia County nearby, keep in mind it is a growing town. Grovetown has been steadily improving in my three years of living here as it has not been established for very long, so some of my complaints about it are subject to change in the near future. Unfortunately, right now the town is dirty and nothing really to do. The high school is not a good learning environment, and there aren't many real job opportunities nearby.
Grovetown is beautiful, clean, safe and has an amazing school district! With historical Augusta right down the road, and Columbia a quick drive north, there is no shortage of things to do and places to see. Grovetown is an amazing sight for anybody visiting, and definitely in the top 10% of places to live in Georgia. If you're looking for a place to live in GA that is affordable yet still has many opportunities, look no further than Grovetown.
