There are a lot of friendly people in Grovetown, and it offers easy access to tons of restaurants and stores. Its proximity to Augusta is great for exploring what the area has to offer without having to deal with the issues of living in a bigger city (traffic, crowds, etc.). The area is growing a lot and there is a lot of construction and adjusting going on to accommodate the influx of people moving to Grovetown, so the traffic isn't the most forgiving, but the area has a lot of promise!
I feel like Grovetown is a good and safe suburban town besides the fact that there is lots of racial tension. The city is in north Georgia and though it may not be the most stereotypical southern place, there's lots of racism going around. Many people here are Trump supporters and live a lot of there lives in his political footstep so they're very racist towards people of any kind of Hispanic descent. Besides the people, the city itself is pretty bland and has only a handful of decent things to do. The downtown scene is pretty decent but there aren't very many impromptu things to get into.
I love Grovetown, Georgia because of its charm. It feels like a step back into time with its friendly neighborhoods, sense of community, and well kept homes. There is low crime here and it feels very safe. Grovetown is very affordable as well. You get a lot of home for your money. The only thing that I would change would be the ability to walk to the store. In order to go shopping you have to have a car. There are no grocery stores, gas stations, or shopping areas in walking distance from the homes.
