Impossible to beat as a place for families and seniors. Incredibly safe. Amazing amenities unlike anywhere else. Outstanding schools. Great churches. Close knit community with lots of great events. 3 boat clubs, 3 golf clubs, tennis club, equestrian center, dance center, public swimming pool, marina, parks, open space land, skating rink, sledding hill, soccer fields, bike and hiking trails. Fabulous housing stock with everything from 180 year old homes to super modern homes; condos to subdivisions to multi-million dollar mansions. Many homes with water access and/or water views. Lots to do (during the day), lots of open space/nature. And of course boats/water everywhere.

I can’t imagine a better place to live. Safest city in the state. Excellent schools. Small friendly community. Gorgeous water views all around you. Lots of outdoor activities. Three golf courses and country clubs. Two yacht clubs and one marina. Soccer fields. An out door ice rink. A public pool. Even has an airport. Down sides are, lack of stores, restaurants, bars, fast food options, and other retail outlets. Have to go off Island for almost everything. But it is totally worth it for the incredible safe and friendly life style. We do have a Grocery store, two gas stations, a bakery, a hardware store, and a few bars and restaurants. You will love it here.
Although Grosse Ile Township is a small island, it is a great place to grow up as you know everybody on this 10,000 person island. Grosse Ile Township Schools provide a great education, along with great teachers that help students to the best of their ability. Also, it has everything you need including food stores, gas stations, a medical center, an ice cream shop, restaurants, a clothing store, and even more!
