Grosse Ile Township Reviews

Grosse Ile is a safe community with a good school system and very kind people. The neighborhoods are nice, clean, and easy to navigate. There is a beautiful riverfront that is enjoyable to pass by and plenty of nature. I would like to see the diversity and political climate of the town change. There is not a lot of minorities or allyship within the community.
I absolutely love the fact that I live on an island. It is so beautiful, secluded, and safe. We have a grocery store, a starbucks, a gift shop, and basically everything we need. I love to go boating in the summers and skating on my pond in the winters. One thing I would like to see change is that I would love to have a public beach where I can go to hang out with my friends!
Impossible to beat as a place for families and seniors. Incredibly safe. Amazing amenities unlike anywhere else. Outstanding schools. Great churches. Close knit community with lots of great events. 3 boat clubs, 3 golf clubs, tennis club, equestrian center, dance center, public swimming pool, marina, parks, open space land, skating rink, sledding hill, soccer fields, bike and hiking trails. Fabulous housing stock with everything from 180 year old homes to super modern homes; condos to subdivisions to multi-million dollar mansions. Many homes with water access and/or water views. Lots to do (during the day), lots of open space/nature. And of course boats/water everywhere.
