Greybull is a small town that feels so secluded from the rest of the world, it actually feels claustrophobic. Everyone here is very judgemental; I do so many extracurricular activities, but because I'm not an athlete, people oftentimes forget who I even am. There are less than 200 kids in my school--half of which barely do anything--and it's like they don't even exist. The LGBTQ+ community here is so scared to be out in this town.
Greybull is a decent town to live in. Population of about 2000-2500 residents. It is not very diverse, and everyone knows everyone, and everything about everyone. Schools are good, but the youth dont have enough activities to keep them out of trouble. Nightlife involves the local bars, or driving 30-60 minutes to the next town for bowling, or cinemas. The town is generally a safe environment, crime rates are lowest as can be, and the police prove themselves capable of more than efficient in traffic stops.
Growing up in this very small town, you naturally form relationships with almost everyone here. This could be a blessing or a lesson. For me, I loved this aspect. Everyone always looks out for everyone else, and are very loyal people. I've always said that I couldn't wait to get out of here, but in reality, I will miss the connection, and consistency of this little town I call home. If I could chose anywhere else to live, I would still choose to live here, and know the people that I have known.
