Gresham Park Reviews
We have lived in Gresham Park for 6 years now. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we moved in, crime is down, many renovated homes. Our house is just under 3 miles from EAV, which has been a great spot for restaurants, bars, yoga, parades. They even have their own NYE event called the "Rooster Drop" which is a free NYE event. We are 3 minutes from I-20 access, so about 15-20 minutes from downtown and midtown (with no traffic). The Gresham Hills Neighbors Association is the active community association and we have met many great neighbors by attending their meetings. Schools are improving, but there are still some great options, like Johnson's Learning Center on Gresham Rd (a private daycare/school). Dekalb County is also a School Choice County, which means they have certain schools that use a lottery system for enrollment, and residents anywhere in Dekalb County can apply. We love it here!
Bought home 6 yrs ago, community safety improved, 3 charter schools since then, Barck Obama Magnet Public School in area, upgraded Community Recreational Park equipment donated by Atlanta Hawks! Taxes median standard, Home Resale Value increased by 60% in 6 years!
It's quiet. The residents are older, friendly individuals who has lived here for several years. I like it a lot I just wished there were more things to do such as more shopping stores, restaurants, or activities without having to go across town to have fun
