Like other small towns in the south, unless you were born into money, connections, and a higher status, you will never be able to rise above. Also like other small towns in the south, things are VERY conservative and a lack of a fear of God will likely have you hanged, metaphorically, of course. Also, racism is rampant. There's nothing for kids or adults to do, unless all you want to do is eat.
Grenada is a wonderful town located between Jackson, Mississippi and Memphis, Tennessee. The atmosphere is calm, and everyone is friendly to each other.
Grenada is a small town but with a large city feel at times. During the winter it may not be much other than fishing and camping out at the lake. The spring and summer is nice. There is Thunder on the Water, Downtown Jubilee, and Movies on the Square. All family friendly and safe. The kids learn about safety. The local business get to come out and set up boosts to give away things and advertise their businesses to new residents as well visitors who have come into town for the different events. I has state of the art school that work with the parents to keep the children on track to advance to the next level of education.
