Greer South Carolina is a wonderful place to live! The downtown is small but, petite and unique. If you want handmade ice cream or a delicious cup of coffee downtown Greer is the place to go. The stores have hand made products and the customer service is always amazing! Downtown is historic and adorable especially the Davenport. The one thing I would change is the roads getting fixed, it is taking the construction crew quite a while to finish the roads and it makes the experience not as great.

I really enjoy the city of Greer because of its comfortable atmosphere and beautiful views. It's a wonderful place to start a family; I myself being a teenager, moved here from out-of-state and that's always difficult when you're my age. However, the transition was easier than I thought it would be considering how welcoming the town is. The roads are all naturally narrow, which I find is difficult for a young driver. Nut, being in the foothills of the mountains, that's what it'll be like! Greer is really wonderful; the whole state of South Carolina is full of opportunities.
My family loves living in this area! There's lots to do and the school system is one of the best in the state. I personally live right by the interstate, as well as near several main roads and shopping centers, so it's easy to travel to where I need to go. The people generally keep to themselves and my neighborhood does not have many kids. There are lots of new jobs being created and there are many large manufacturing plants in the area for BMW, Michelin, Boeing, and Baush & Lomb to name a few. This area is great for retirees and raising kids, but can be boring for teenagers. The mountain scenery is beautiful and it's a short drive to the beach, although, if I had a choice, I would have never moved here from Chicago.
