Greencastle is a small town in central Pennsylvania. In the town square there are always lovely events for the family to participate in. Calm, peaceful and safe is how I would describe this town. Many people know each other from having so few residents. It feels like home. There is a great education program for the children to attend. The education system and facilities make great learning centers. Bike trails, nature walks and playground are offered throughout the town.

Greencastle is a small town in Pennsylvania. We are a community that support one another. Our school district is a top priority. Not only from the educational aspect of providing students with as many educational opportunities as possible but also with the best security. Local businesses donated their time and services when a structural issue required the district to relocate students to various areas while the building was being repaired. The hometown feel is especially noted at our annual Christmas parade and tree lighting service. Another annual event that brings the community together is the Greencaste carnival. It is a time to greet your fellow neighbors and friends and enjoy spending time together while supporting your community.
My family and I moved here from Florida. This is a complete Flip from where we used to live. In Florida the crime is horrendous school systems are crap community doesn’t exist and The traffic is insane, and so on. here the schools are really good and my daughter is now caught up to their levels from being behind from FL. There are shops restaurants library a couple of really nice parks farms/fresh produce all that you need on a day-to-day basis. festivals and events for every season and holiday. tons of churches for the picking my daughter goes to several for Bible school movie nights kid fun nights etc. Found a parent support and playgroup made some good friends and have fun throughout the year. It’s nice to be able to take a bike ride or be out in public and not have to watch your back and worry about bad things going on around you. You can drive 15 minutes to bigger towns. State parks surrounding with hiking lakes rivers camping and 40 minutes from Gettysburg.
