I have been living in Green Brook for 3 years. I like the small town feel. There are a lot of parks, activities and businesses. It has more of a community vibe compared to other local towns. Schools are highly rated and new businesses have been opening indicating a sign of growth in the town!
Green Brook township is a beautiful, calm, and community based town. We have a great police and firefighter force who are always attentive to the people living here. We have community events such as the Green Brook tree lighting during Christmas where carolers come to sing and give out presents to the children. Our schools are great as they are close to home and provide the children with quality education. I have found that while living here everyone is very friendly and always ready to spark a conversation. When I go walk my dog around the neighborhood I find myself getting into conversations with others and people smiling at me. We have a great elementary school that has baseball fields right next to it. Many baseball events are held here during the summer until late at night but still the events are noisy enough to cause annoyance to people in town. Everyone stays connected and the neighbors are very friendly. I have become very close with my neighbors ever since I moved here.
Green Brook township has a great community. Everyone is very friendly and it's a small town so people know each other. The schools are very good.
I like the diversity in Green Brook. That being said, there is not a ton of inclusivity between different racial groups.
Green Brook is a great town! I have lived here almost all of my life and it has never disappointed. I am friends with my neighbors, I go on daily walks/runs and there is no worry about safety. The people are very nice and the nature surrounding is beautiful.
There are a lot of good restaurants, a bowling alley, and even a hatchet-throwing place called Stumpy's.
Green Brook ranges from extremely expensive to affordable, depending on proximity to Route 22, and location in relation to the mountains. It is mostly safe from serious crime, and has a good school system. There are a few nice parks, but more open space would be nice.
Traffic around Green Brook can be pretty heavy and noisy, especially around Route 22.
Green Brook is very difficult to navigate by foot or wheelchair, due to a distinct lack of sidewalks particularly near the Route 22 section and up toward Warren. This means either walking along dangerous and very busy roadways, or necessitates a vehicle for even short distances.
There is very little to do at night, since most businesses are closed around 9pm or 10pm.

I'VE LIVED HERE ALL MY LIFE AND I LOVE IT. I WOULD NEVER MOVE ANYWHERE ELSE NO ONE COULD BE BETTER. great schools at IEF and Green brook middle school, teachers are very nice. Safe environment for kids and family,
I love living in Green Brook! I was able to attend Watchung Hills Regional High School which was a wonderful experience. It was full of caring teachers. Coming from a private school previously, I was concerned about this but I found the transition very easy. Aside from education, it's a really safe town. I never have any issues here. I haven't had much experience with the police in town, however the interactions I have had have been pleasant. Washington Rock State Park is a beautiful place to visit, especially on a clear, sunny day. Green Brook runs along Rt. 22 which is connected to major highways such as 287 and 78. Overall, it is a quiet town and a nice place to live.
Green Brook is a great little town. There is just one elementary school, and one middle school. High schoolers attend Watchung Hill Regional High School in Warren. I like the small town feel, and everyone knows everyone. Most people are friendly. We have tree lightings, Santa comes on the fire truck every year, movie nights at the elementary school in the summer, bag bingo, and family bingo. It's a great little town.
We really don't have a downtown area, so it would be great if a small downtown area with shops, and restaurants were added without clogging the town.

The community could be more involved.
There isn't much crime in this area.
Overall I love my neighborhood and town. The atmosphere is amazing and the school/education system is great.
We have a really great gym, Eclipse. It's a huge facility. The only thing missing is a pool. It is very popular in the area. The offer classes, they have basketball courts, racquet ball courts, trainers, and a juice bar. Many times driving home, I will see members of the gym working out on the hill with their trainers. It does get pretty busy, and they do not have enough parking to accommodate all members. Many times you will find members parking on the hill.
Green Brook has many beautiful homes. You can find cute like capes, and if you go up the mountain you will find larger mini-mansions. For the most part of lawns/yards seem to be kept up with.
Crime is not a problem in this town. I feel very safe living in Green Brook. I've never heard of a crime, and many times doors are kept unlocked.
Green Brook has a lot of houses up mountains. Snow, ice, and freezing rain causes many of the major mountain roads to close because driving conditions can be hazardous. For instance, even a light snowfall will delay school for two hours or could possibly close school. Many families live up the mountains, and the high school is also up in Warren. Green Brook has its own buses, and the high school students, middle school, and elementary school all use the same buses. So if roads are closed children cannot get picked, and school is usually closed for the day.
