Great college town with lots of shopping and great restaurant. Greeley has a great hospital. The mountains are very close by, so outdoor activities are virtually unlimited. Hiking in the summer; skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing in the winter. Greeley is great!
Review Greeley
Greeley is a small town, but it has everything you would ever need, grocery stores, shopping centers, schools, close to Denver, it has a university, and a community college. It is a quiet town, not a lot of interesting things happen except the stampede every year. Everyone in the town is friendly and very helpful. The downside of this town is that the living cost is going way up and its expensive to rent even a small apartment! Also, the school district isn't the best either, I think they have some work to do to improve their curriculum. I grew up here my whole life, and I honestly would not move anywhere else. I love living in a small town, cities are not for me, the life in a city is too rushed, and here in Greeley life is more relaxed, and everything is close by so there is no need to make big commutes everyday. There are new stores and homes coming into Greeley so I think that in a few years, the population of Greeley, and the town of Greeley will grow, and that is a good thing, it means more employment opportunities for the residents of the town!
I love this town!! It has a wonderful amount of diversity, a booming economy, and is home to a beautiful university...GO BEARS! Greeley is close to everything that you could want, without being too close to the madhouse that is Denver. The weather is relatively mild when compared to similar areas in the Rockies! The school district is full of committed staff and teachers, but could use more funding. Crime isn't really a problem here, it's very similar to many other towns with some areas being safer than others. Cost of housing is on the rise due to Greeley's proximity to Denver, but is still leaps and bounds more affordable than other towns in NOCO. The downtown is great and full of nice little bars and restaurants and if you're looking for something busier, Fort Collins and Denver are each and hour or less away.
