Great college town with lots of shopping and great restaurant. Greeley has a great hospital. The mountains are very close by, so outdoor activities are virtually unlimited. Hiking in the summer; skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing in the winter. Greeley is great!
Greeley is a small town, but it has everything you would ever need, grocery stores, shopping centers, schools, close to Denver, it has a university, and a community college. It is a quiet town, not a lot of interesting things happen except the stampede every year. Everyone in the town is friendly and very helpful. The downside of this town is that the living cost is going way up and its expensive to rent even a small apartment! Also, the school district isn't the best either, I think they have some work to do to improve their curriculum. I grew up here my whole life, and I honestly would not move anywhere else. I love living in a small town, cities are not for me, the life in a city is too rushed, and here in Greeley life is more relaxed, and everything is close by so there is no need to make big commutes everyday. There are new stores and homes coming into Greeley so I think that in a few years, the population of Greeley, and the town of Greeley will grow, and that is a good thing, it means more employment opportunities for the residents of the town!
Greely is a beautiful town, with a rich history and ethnic diversity. Though Greeley may have a rough reputation, it is quite tender at heart; Greeley is a community of artists, professionals, and students. Cost of living is quite manageable, with plenty of opportunities for entertainment and involvement such as the Greeley Stampede, and historic Downtown. Greeley is a wonderful place to raise a family, and as an educator in the school system, it is also a great place to educate children in an innovative and caring community. I would recommend Greeley as a place to put down roots, and to spread your wings.
