The Greatwood community engages neighbors as if they are an extension of a tightly knit family. I grew up in the subdivision since I was six attending Bess Campbell Elementary School, one of the two primary schools within the area. The families involved in creating the environment where the children grew up has fostered a sense of belonging, diversity, and sportsmanship that have sculpted the safe, hospitable, and active foreground for generations to cherish. As I grew up in Greatwood, the area has become even more charming. More diverse retail units opened to invite people to explore the mix of cultures within the community, a major hospital (Memorial Hermann) arrived to provide ease of patient care, and it even brought Buccee's over from the more southwest fringe of Houston which I truly love! Over the years, Greatwood has become home to another level: one where you settle down and enjoy the serenity of fresh air and free spirit.

I moved to Greatwood a few months ago from Houston. We spent a lot of time looking for the right neighborhood to move to, and we considered every city and neighborhood from between Katy and Sugar Land. We chose Greatwood because we always noticed so many people out walking, jogging, riding bikes, always kids playing on the playground, etc. It is a large community with three pools and we personally really liked the mature trees and cozy feeling you get driving through, rather than some other neighborhoods where the trees are smaller or haven't grown in yet. Everyone we have met so far has been so friendly and welcoming. It's a quick hop onto 59 and though I think it is the farthest subdivision from the Sugar Land town center, it's been really quick and easy for us to get everywhere that we wanted and head to all the great restaurants and shops around Sugar Land and Rosenberg too. I'm happy we made the move here!
I've lived in Greatwood for over 18 years and have raised both of my kids here! With two of the finest elementary schools within the neighborhood, your kids will get an excellent education! Mine did! The beauty and aesthetics of this area are unique in that the first thing you notice are the trees and greenbelts. Perfect for running, cycling or walking your dog, the natural feel of the community is what drew us to it. With 3 beautiful pools, an 18 hole golf course and plenty of tennis courts and jogging trails this master planned community is one of the jewels in the Sugar Land area!

We absolutely fell in love with the area when we first saw it and were lucky enough to find a beautiful home located in a quiet cul-de-sac. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have and the secure feeling we feel is due to the constables that patrol the area regularly and the security cameras that are located throughout the neighborhoods.
