Granville is a very nice and beautiful town. The schools are very good academically and have prepared many students for Ivy League attendance. The teacher to student ratio at the schools is also good. The town is extremely safe. There have been no major crimes in the entirety of my time living here and police are very available to help with issues. Very family friendly with many opportunities for kids. The town is not very diverse there are very few people of color. The town is also not very affordable and you have to go over to Heath or Newark for more affordable options. There is also not very much to do in the town itself except for a few restaurants so you have to leave for entertainment, but the drive is only 10 minutes to the closest mall and movie theater.

I love the community festivities that go on. During the Forth of July there is a street fair, games, and food. A lot of people who don't live in Granville come and experience it. The first weekend in December is when the Candlelight Walking Tour is held. This is when a bunch of business go out and advertise, a Santa comes, ice sculptures are displayed, the high school performance groups come to play and there is a model train exhibit at the library. When tragedy strikes, the townspeople are willing to help. A high school boy was seriously changed after a car wreck and lots of people helped raise funds for his hospital care. Things like this is what makes Granville homely.
Living in Granville has been a pleasant experience. Not only is everything I need only a short drive away, nothing is more breathtaking than coming over that hill on Route 37 and seeing everything from the shops on Broadway to the Denison University.
