I loved growing up in Granville, OH since I was in 4th grade with the small town atmosphere and friendly people. It is like living in a bubble insulated from the rest of society which I have learned is not such a bad thing and I would live there again. The only problem is the continued expansion of encroachment of Columbus and the build up of areas closer to Granville.
Picture a town stuck in the 1950s. Everyone knows everyone, everyone smiles to say hello. In the village of Granville, that's what it is like walking downtown. Everything you could possibly need is in this stuck in time town. Mr. Whitman's frozen custard store, "Whit's," the River Road Coffee Shop, and Ross's Granville Market. I can not stress enough how there is a store for everyone's needs. And all of it is family owned. No chain restaurants, only local businesses. There's a several restaurants, a post office, a book store, a library, a pizza place, a family owned funeral home, a barber shop, a spa, a drugstore, a diner, boutiques, a pet groomers, the list is endless.
Quaint, sweet town. The kindest, nicest, most precious place you will ever live. Such a delight to be here.
