A small town country feel. There are fun things for the children; like the ne.w Epic waters. A recreation center for seniors which includes; indoor track, and pool. There are beautiful parks and walking tracks. The farmer's market is located in the small, but beautiful town of Grand Prairie. Joe Pool lake is another park that is a location where families can have loads of fun; swimming, hiking, grilling, fishing, etc. It's all about family! We could use a few more restaurants in our city.

I really enjoy all of the activities close to Grand Prairie! C.P. Waggoner Park is great and Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, GlobeLife Arena, and AT&T stadium are all within a few minutes drive. It's encouraging to see all of the small improvements the city is making, it seems like every other week work is being done on roads, parks, and schools among many others.
Grand Prairie is a city that that is experiencing growth, with plenty of homes being built to accommodate for the increasing population. The city has a number of attractions for recreational fun. Some of these attractions include Lone Star Park where every season horse racing is held, and the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie, where it holds concerts every year by contemporary artists, in addition to Broadway shows! The people in the city are very friendly and helpful. Crimes such as shootings and robberies are relatively uncommon. The commute to Dallas or Fort Worth is usually only around 25 to 30 minutes. The air and water is clean and litter is minimal. Grand Prairie's public education has a high standard within the country, with International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement programs being offered in most schools. Overall, Grand Prairie is a great place to live for both young single people and families alike!
