Grand Island is a small town with not many things to do aside from going to a restaurant/bar or bowling. Even though it is small there is something very unique about the town and the people that live here. You will get to know many personable people that really care about you and you see familiar faces almost everywhere you go. Grand Island is really an island and you must drive across one of the two bridges to leave however it is not secluded or hidden and can be busy at times without the downside of having any traffic. The public schools are great and kids especially in the middle and high schools really get to know people that they never would have known otherwise (beacuse there’s only one middle and high school on the island). Overall a very nice place to live with some beautiful homes.

I like the parks like beaver island. I enjoy going for walks. The trails are pretty good and the stores are only about 45 minutes walking distance from where I live. Which isn’t long if I want to walk or even bike ride some where. Beaver island is a great family place where families can get together and barbecue and enjoy the beach. There’s also boating there that anyone could take opportunities to go fishing. Laying out on the beach in beaver island is nice when I’m alone I can just go there and lay out and get a tan. It’s nice. Plus there’s Apple trees there I can pick apples from to take home. So it’s nice.
Grand Island's population has grown significantly in the past few decades. The high school is trying to keep up with the kids-plosion. There is not much for the tween and teen population to do.

Grand Island has two beautiful State Parks. If you like water related activities, it is a nice place to fish, swim, or go boating. It is close to Canada and the historic Niagara Falls.

The food is okay. There are a few pizza places and Adrian's has great lemon ice in the summer time and a decent roast beef sandwich.
