Working in Goshen
Goshen is great town! It’s quiet, has a great public school, very safe, and friendly. Police are very active in the area.
My children have thrived in these schools and have met wonderful friends. It seems there are frequent community gatherings, festivals, holiday activities, races, art shows, and other events to get people together. There are a bunch of great restaurants, ice cream and real NY pizza. Great orchard and distillery . There is not much for late night activities. Goshen is close to parks and the arboretum, 10 min from any store you regularly need in Middletown and 15 minutes from the Woodbury Commons. While Goshen is a smaller semi-rural town, it had never felt that way to me with the ease of access to many amenities.
Goshen is a cute, quaint little town. Everyone refers to it as "slow motion Goshen", but it's only an hour and 20 minutes from NYC. Legoland is going to be built this summer and attract visitors to the area mainly in the summer. The schools are really good and there are a lot of small villages and towns surrounding it to buy affordable homes. Goshen is also very close to Middletown, which boasts restaurants, grocery stores and a mall.
