Goodyear is a young city, which means it has had the opportunity to learn from the mistakes of others and become one of the nicer places to live. As a direct result of this, the streets are wide and easy to navigate: sidewalks and trails are abundant, promoting and simplifying outdoor physical excercise.

It is nearly always sunny! The heat can be extreme during the summer but the temperature is very pleasant during the winter months.

Living here can be expensive, but the city makes up for it in many small ways, such as a playground for nearly every neighborhood, perfect for young children. Goodyear is an excelllent place to raise a family. Even though we are within an hour's drive from both Mesa and Phoenix, the crime is very low.

Bordered by the White Tank mountains, residents of Goodyear are privy to excellent hiking trails, both for the amateur and more experienced hiker. Overall, I'd say that Goodyear has been one of my favorite places to live.

As a resident of Goodyear over the past ten years, I have fallen in love with the sense of community and friendliness that everyone has for each other. I have grown up with people who have set good examples to me and my family. Everyone just wants each other to succeed, and will sacrifice their time to help others achieve their goals. I have gone through my teen years in Goodyear, and have had teachers, coaches, and other adults whom I have gotten help and advice from. The people in Goodyear, are by far my favorite part about living here. On the other hand, there is some separation between some of the people because of location. Goodyear is separated between residents of Estrella Mountain Ranch, and those who live outside of it. I wish that our communities were closer to each other so that we could be around and interact with one another more often. I also wish that certain stores and restaurants were closer to both communities as well. Despite this, I love being here!
I love this city! It's just far away enough from all of the hustle and bustle to be nice and quiet. However, it's not "middle of nowhere" status. There are great shopping areas, restaurants, and activities close by. I never feel unsafe, even if I'm taking a stroll at night. There are so many conveniences, and I have yet to have a poor experience in this neighborhood with anyone. From the gym, to McDonald’s I know that every space is high class. I feel like all the citizens of this city are respectable individuals, and I know it is a tight-knit community. The location is right off the freeway, making it easy to invite friends over and give directions. Overall, I love my life here in Goodyear, AZ.
