You can access any type of environment here in North West Florida. We have Historical Downtown with museums, clubs and amazing restaurants. You can take a short drive north, and be in the middle of nowhere country. We are halfway between New Orleans, LA, and Tallahassee, FL. So think of all in between! But, of course, We have the beaches. There is a true laid back community there, with fishing and the general laid back nature loving "retiree" lifestyle. But there is an emerging scene for young adults as well. This is also an excellent place for a family. New parents can take advantage of amazing resources, and cutting edge hospitals. And our schools are excellent. Plus, there is a part of Pensacola that is a University-town, as we are home to University of West Florida. There really is something for everyone.

As a person who has lived her for the majority of my life, I love Pensacola. I think some of its main attractions are obviously owed to its scenic qualities such as the beach and bayou. The downtown area is one of my favorite places and it looks much better than it has in previous years.

I think we could do more for the homeless population in the sense of outreach and providing them with the much needed connections. A lot of them have the ability to get help but may not know how or where to find it.
This area has a lot of diversity. The people are really friendly. Although I have noticed that the crime in the area is increasing and do not wish to stay here long term. Also there are not many things to do on the weekends for kids as far as places to go. It seems like places just shut down.
