Glouster is a very close-knit community full of pride for it and the people that live here are usually friendly. However, the community does suffer from poverty and drug use.
This small town has a lot of fight left in it after the coal industry left decades ago. It is situated in the beautiful foothills of the appalachian mountains. Ohio university is a short drive away. And there is an abundant amount of outdoor recreation opportunities near by. Burr oak State Park is a mere 12-minute drive.
