I have lived in Glendale for two years. I love the historical downtown district. Every neighborhood has their own flavor and hidden gems to explore. Yes, there are some areas that are more run down, but overall I am glad and proud to live here. I like that Glendale has character and isn't all cookie cutter houses with white picket fences. Instead, there are a variety of ethnic identities all existing together - which creates great fusions like the Mexican Sushi restaurant down the street from my house! I do not have children of my own so I cannot comment on the school system, other than the facilities look great and well maintained from the outside. As far as crime goes, it is like it is in any city - be alert and aware and listen to your instincts. I've never had any problems.
Glendale, Arizona, presents residents with a delightful combination of natural beauty and urban conveniences. The city boasts a vibrant community and a welcoming atmosphere that fosters a strong sense of belonging. The warm, sunny weather prevalent throughout the year creates an inviting environment that allows for various outdoor activities and a laid-back lifestyle.
Glendale's picturesque desert landscapes, with their iconic saguaro cacti and breathtaking sunsets, provide a stunning backdrop for daily life. The nearby White Tank Mountains and Thunderbird Conservation Park offer opportunities for hiking, biking, and exploration, allowing residents to connect with nature and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding environment.

My family and I have moved more than I could count. We settled in Glendale in 2015. It was different and unexpected. Jobs weren't inaccessible back then. In fact, my siblings found jobs fast. One of the full aspects I like about Glendale is how people communicate with each other. There are a variety of stores, restaurants, and outings. The owners are extremely nice and welcoming. During Christmas, Glendale Glitters is a sight to see. The small cafes serving hot chocolate make the experience unforgettable. One thing I'd hopefully like to see a change in is safety. Abductions, shootings, and crimes happen more often than usual. Hopefully, in the near future, that will change. However, it doesn't make Glendale inhabitable. Glendale will always have a place near and dear to my heart.
