I grew up in Glendale and I love this city. Being Armenian, it is so nice to see a presence of the Armenian diaspora in this city, even though it is so far away from our motherland. Everyone is so friendly and it is relatively a very safe city. I feel so lucky to live here. There are so many restaurants, coffee shops, breakfast spots, and stores. Downtown Glendale is so safe and there are many shops/spots to explore. The La Crescenta-Montrose part of Glendale is also a nice area to enjoy, more quiet, and the views are breathtaking. The public schools there are comparatively better than main-city Glendale. I love, though, how you can live in a mix of city and suburb life in Glendale. Residents of Glendale receive the best of both!
A change that would benefit the entire city of Glendale would probably be for more shops, cafes, and funding to go to South Glendale in order to make it a place where everyone can enjoy, as much as they do Downtown Glendale as well as North Glendale.

This is a great city! There is a lot of diversity among residents. Many pretty parks to walk around and explore. With places for outdoor activities like hiking, running and biking, as well as organized sports. The city is very family friendly! The school districts are good, and the area is safe. It boasts several shopping malls with lots of wonderful places to eat from sweet to savory. There are even breweries too! Glendale's location is near to that of greater Los Angeles with several freeways to get you where you need to go. It's a good mix of city and suburban for those that want the faster paced lifestyle of a city but with the feel of a tight-knit community. I grew up in a close by neighboring town but moved to Glendale 3 years ago and I love it.
Very good location to live and very family oriented. Not very crowded but living is a little more pricey but they have beautiful residences. But, it has everything you need at a short distance. Schools in the district are amazing and your kids will definitely get the education they deserve. And just a beautiful neighborhood altogether! Very Safe as well.
