Safe neighborhoods, great schools, lots of small parks everywhere, beautiful and clean, plenty of entertainment options, restaurants and close to everything. Lots of culture and diversity, love everything about it, you're an hour away from the beaches, and the mountains, a couple hours from the deserts, palm springs, etc. Everything is close by yet not in your face, love it!
I grew up in Glendale and I love this city. Being Armenian, it is so nice to see a presence of the Armenian diaspora in this city, even though it is so far away from our motherland. Everyone is so friendly and it is relatively a very safe city. I feel so lucky to live here. There are so many restaurants, coffee shops, breakfast spots, and stores. Downtown Glendale is so safe and there are many shops/spots to explore. The La Crescenta-Montrose part of Glendale is also a nice area to enjoy, more quiet, and the views are breathtaking. The public schools there are comparatively better than main-city Glendale. I love, though, how you can live in a mix of city and suburb life in Glendale. Residents of Glendale receive the best of both!
A change that would benefit the entire city of Glendale would probably be for more shops, cafes, and funding to go to South Glendale in order to make it a place where everyone can enjoy, as much as they do Downtown Glendale as well as North Glendale.

The residential areas are primarily quiet. There are many areas where you can relax and pick up snacks, foods, groceries, and medications. People are generally friendly. There are various forms of entertainment, from movies, parks, restaurants, shopping districts, and locations to take photos. Although on weekends, these places can become crowded, but most people keep general distance when walking. A comfortable place to live for those who tend to keep a generalized schedule and prefer a more inactive location.
