I've personally have always felt safe here. It isn't a bad town and nothing traumatic has happened in my term of living here. We have great community events that really keep us together. Two of those events is our fireman's picnic and Dan Rice Days. Both of these events is where the community gets together to play games, buy food, hang out, raise money, and have a good time. We usually have bands that come and play at certain times during these events as well. All in all, I truly love this small town.
Girard Pennsylvania is a small town about twenty-five minutes from the city of Erie. Overall the town has great people and is very welcoming.
I've lived in Girard my entire life. It is a sleepy little suburban town, and I do love it. During the summers they have the Dan Rice Days Festival which I and many others look forward to every summer. The winters are horrible, but if you like living in the country with stores nearby, this is the place for you!
