Gilford is a great town in which to live. The scenery is beautiful, it's quiet and a safe place to live. I have lived in Gilford my entire life and can't imagine living anywhere else. We have the lakes for swimming, boating and fishing in the summer months and sking, ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter. The fall offers a colorful array of changing leaves and the spring brings flowers, budding tress and a renewed outlook on life. The people are sociable and friendly and the school system is one of the best in the state.

Gilford is a relatively safe small town which I greatly appreciate. The only thing that I would like to change would be more community gatherings or events. We have a few per year, but it would be great to see some more especially if they were set up as fundraisers for the community or other communities in need. I would love to see Gilford pick one charity per year and then hold a town fundraiser to support it. It would be a great way to get the community together and teach everyone about the importance of giving back.
Gilford is a beautiful family friendly town with many friendly people. Lake Winnipesaukee is worth seeing and there are many trails to explore and mountains to climb. The public school system is one of the best around and the sports are competitive. I have never felt unsafe in Gilford. There is easy access to Laconia that has many stores and restaurants. There is also plenty of options in Gilford to provide what you need.
