I like the community of Georgetown. We have events for the young and old. A small park was recently built for the neighborhood. The community tries to get together to make things happen, to make our community better, a change. The town is pleasant and you can take a quiet stroll downtown. The courthouses are convenient and are located right on the circle. There is an area on the circle where you can sit and read a book or watch the cars and people walking go by. We have a newly built public library that is accessible walking distance. I just love the Georgetown community I live in and what it offers!

In all, Georgetown is a small yet family friendly town to live in. There are many shops, restaurants, places of employment and other facilities near by. Because the town is fairly small, everyone gets to know each other and looks out for one another. The town even holds annual events at the circle in the heart of the town to celebrate various holidays and ceremonies that bring citizens together. Within the boarders of the town there are a couple different schools that are known for exceptional education and offer very good programs to help people afford schooling so all students have equal opportunities.
When I first moved to Delaware, I found myself falling in love with Georgetown. Not only has it kept its historic atmosphere but it was also adapted to the current times by being so diverse and creating new and modern things around it. It is very diverse, filled with warm-hearted and hard working individuals. It is very welcoming and family friendly. I've seen many children happily and safely playing in the neighborhood and everyone is very respectful.
