Working in Georgetown
Georgetown is a small town with many fun local businesses! There's not as much to do like there is in Lexington or Louisville Kentucky, but you do get the strong small town local vibe. There's many great local shops on main street where a festival is also held every october.
Georgetown offers smalltown charm while also providing all the amenities that you would expect in a moderately sized city. It has an adorable downtown with a small-town style main street, but also has Walmart, Kroger, a movie theatre, and several local parks. The public school system is okay, it provides a pretty standard education program that easily prepares students for the job field or college. The school board seems to be a bit political at times.
Georgetown has grown over the past several years due to the Toyota plant and with that, there has been an increase in population, job opportunities, and businesses. Growing up here has been nice because it has afforded me the small town feel but with all the things you may find in a big city.
