It's an overall average town. It's a small community so people are fairly close and easy to talk to, however like many towns in the area, there is a massive drug problem. On top of that, cuts in the education system has resulted in reduction of busing for public schools, reduction of teaching positions, and reduction in overall quality of the public schools. There are few attractions immediately in the area other than annual festivals, however there are surrounding communities which offer more, such as Mentor.

Geneva is a great place to live. In the summer, the best attraction is the famous Geneva-On-The-Lake Strip, which is filled with shops, arcades, restaurants, Go-Carts, and now a zip-line! In the fall, people from all over the state come for Grape Jamboree, a festival and parade to celebrate the harvest of the grapes.
Other than the strip, Geneva is a pretty simple town with not a lot to do. It has all the essentials but nothing worth traveling or lingering around very long for.
